5,313 Assessments. 2,418 Clients.
Measurable Results.
We don't just claim our approach works. We track it with validated health assessments, measure it over time, and publish the results. Here's what the data shows.
"I have seen firsthand the transformative impact of CFS Recovery's approach. Their combination of neuroscience-based techniques and personalized coaching produces measurable outcomes, including significant improvements on the SF-36 health assessment."

825 Clients Tracked Over Time
We built our own assessment to track nervous system recovery across physical capabilities, cognitive function, symptom count, and daily activity levels. Here's what 825 clients with repeat assessments showed.
529 of 825 tracked clients showed measurable gains in mobility, standing tolerance, walking, and daily activities.
Avg gain: +0.46 pts on 0-5 scale
483 of 825 tracked clients showed gains in screen tolerance, thinking capacity, reading, memory, and conversations.
Avg gain: +0.33 pts on 0-5 scale
392 of 825 tracked clients reported fewer symptoms on their follow-up assessment.
Avg reduction: -0.36 symptoms
158 of 438 tracked clients moved up at least one activity level (e.g. housebound to leaving the house).
Scale: 1 (bedridden) to 7 (fully functional)
Median tracking period: 124 days (4 months). Average tracking period: 169 days (6 months). Real-world observational data from a self-selected coaching population. Individual results vary.
Validated Outcomes That Accelerate Over Time
The SF-36 is used in clinical research worldwide to measure health across 8 domains. Here's what it showed for our clients at 3 time intervals.
| SF-36 Domain | Baseline | 0-6 Months | 6-12 Months | 12+ Months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| General Health | 35% | +18% | +28% | +57% |
| Physical Functioning | 48% | +16% | +28% | +34% |
| Role Limitation (Physical) | 6% | +14% | +29% | +36% |
| Role Limitation (Emotional) | 17% | +35% | +29% | +50% |
| Energy/Fatigue | 25% | +18% | +24% | +17% |
| Emotional Wellbeing | 47% | +16% | +20% | +12% |
| Social Functioning | 34% | +26% | +37% | +55% |
| Pain | 61% | +8% | +8% | +39% |
Normalized percentage-point improvement from baseline. Sample sizes: 0-6mo (n=92), 6-12mo (n=61), 12+mo (n=14). SF-36 is a standardized instrument validated across thousands of clinical studies (Ware et al., 1993). Individual results vary.
Clients who started at the lowest possible scores showed the largest gains. +60% improvement in pain, +49% in social functioning, +47% in emotional wellbeing. The most impaired clients improved the most.
Every Severity Level. Every Age Group. Every Duration.
Our data covers the full spectrum of chronic fatigue, long COVID, fibromyalgia, and related conditions.
Median age: 40. We've worked with children, teens, working-age adults, and retirees.
Median: 4 years. From newly symptomatic to decades of chronic illness.
17.2% bedridden or mostly bedridden at intake. No minimum baseline required.
Spanning neurological, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and gastrointestinal systems.
70.4% brain fog, 63.9% anxiety, 57.0% headaches, 46.3% muscle pain.
Completed both NSHA and SF-36. 23 showed improvement on both instruments independently.
How Impaired Our Clients Are at Intake
SF-36 baseline scores compared to US population norms (Ware et al., 1993). Our clients start 28 to 75 percentage points below healthy populations.
US population norms from Ware et al. (1993). Role Limitation (Physical) shows the most dramatic deficit: our clients score 6% vs. the healthy norm of 81%, a 75-point gap. These are not mildly symptomatic people.
What Professionals Are Saying
"CFS Recovery consistently stands out for its clear, science-informed methods and its ability to guide individuals to full recovery."

What Healthcare Professionals Say
Doctors, therapists, and scientists who've reviewed our recovery system firsthand.
"Excellent program - I'm a GP in Uk and will recommend to my patients who have ME/CFS /longcovid use this resource"
"What you will find here cannot be found in the mainstream Healthcare Community, believe me I tried for over 3 years between MD's, lab work, psychotherapists, and on and on and on. Try this, you've got nothing to lose, take this from a psychotherapist / social worker with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field."
"As a scientist I was determined to find a medical solution to my symptoms. My NHS Dr was sympathetic, ruled everything out and told me it was a Fatigue condition and that she couldn't help. I then went to an online medical practitioner, a herbalist and an acupuncturist, all of whom were great, but I still had my symptoms, and a cupboard full of supplements. One month in and I know I will recover."
"I am a healthcare professional, and I would absolutely not endorse this if I didn't believe in it. The coaching team are amazing, I've met the best people through the community, and I have seen mind blowing transformations. I was couchbound for a year before I started this. Now, I am back at work, caring for my child, working out in the gym, travelling, and excited for my next chapter of life."
"As a therapist and coach myself for many years, I approached the coaches with an inner question of whether they could earn my trust. Yes, they did! I am full of respect and recognition for the professional attitude, empathy, and helpful reflective questions with which they manage to help participants."
"Before falling ill with COVID-19, I was an embodiment of ambition and drive. I worked as an outpatient physical therapist in a super fast-paced clinic working 10-12 hour days. The Recovery Jumpstart program offered me a roadmap to thrive again! I can confidently say that joining this program has been the best investment of my entire life."
Built on Established Research
Our approach draws from five interconnected areas of neuroscience and behavioral research.
Neuroplasticity
The brain's ability to form new neural pathways throughout life. The foundation for retraining chronic stress responses.
Nervous System Dysregulation
Research on how the autonomic nervous system becomes stuck in a threat state, creating chronic symptoms across multiple body systems.
Central Sensitization
The mechanism by which prolonged stress sensitizes the nervous system, amplifying pain and symptom perception beyond the original trigger.
Psychoneuroimmunology
The study of how psychological processes interact with the nervous and immune systems. The body-brain connection that explains multi-system symptoms.
Coaching-Led Behavioral Change
Evidence that structured coaching with accountability produces superior outcomes compared to self-directed recovery or education alone.
