The Coaching Team

Your Coaches Have Been Where You Are
And They Made It Back

Every Thriver Coach on this page was once in the same place you are now. Bedridden. Exhausted. Told there was no answer. They recovered. Then they trained to help you do the same.

What Makes a Thriver Coach Different

A Thriver Coach isn't a therapist. Isn't a life coach. Isn't someone who studied chronic fatigue in a textbook.

A Thriver Coach is someone who:

  • Has personally recovered from ME/CFS, Long COVID, fibromyalgia, POTS, or a related condition
  • Used the CFS Recovery system as part of their own recovery journey
  • Has been trained in coaching methodology and nervous system retraining techniques
  • Continues their own growth while helping others

When you work with a Thriver Coach, you're not getting theoretical advice. You're getting guidance from someone who knows exactly what the brain fog feels like, what the crashes feel like, what the fear feels like. Because they've felt all of it.

And they know the way through, because they've walked it.

How We Select Coaches

Not every recovered person becomes a Thriver Coach. Our coaches go through a rigorous process:

  1. Demonstrated sustained recovery (not weeks, months and years)
  2. Deep understanding of the CFS Recovery system
  3. Formal coaching methodology training
  4. Mentorship under senior coaches before working with clients
  5. Ongoing supervision, development, and peer support

We don't post job listings for coaches. We develop them from within our own community of recovered clients.

Meet the Team

Miguel Bautista
Miguel Bautista
Founder
"From Bedridden and Spoonfed to Building a Global Recovery System"

Miguel was a lifelong athlete when severe debilitating symptoms took everything from him. He spent 8 months bedridden, unable to feed himself, shower, or read a sentence. His family had to spoon-feed him because he didn't have the strength to lift his arms.

After years of illness and thousands spent on treatments that didn't work, Miguel discovered the nervous system mechanism behind his symptoms. He built a recovery system, tested it on himself, and by 2019 had his life back completely.

Then he built CFS Recovery so nobody else would have to figure it out alone.

Nicole
Thriver Coach
"Bedridden to ATV Trips in Bali With the Family"

Nicole was a type-A go-getter. Regular gym sessions, boot camp, always on the move. Then ME/CFS and POTS took it all away. For 6.5 years, she was bedbound. She spent $40,000-$50,000 on treatments, tried CBT, GET, meditation, and every medication her doctors suggested. Nothing worked.

When she found CFS Recovery, everything changed. She recovered fully, got back to full-time work, went medication-free, and took her first overseas trip in 3 years.

Now she coaches others through the same process, specializing in severe cases and helping clients expand their activity levels safely.

Junior Ky

Thriver Coach
"Dozens of ER Visits and Couchridden to Living Life Again"

Junior's ME/CFS was severe. Dozens of emergency room visits. Housebound for over 2 years. The constant uncertainty and worry consumed him as much as the physical symptoms did.

Through the CFS Recovery system, Junior recovered fully. He went back to full-time work, resumed his hobbies, broadened his diet, and built the energy for exercise and travel again.

Now he works with clients who are where he was, with a particular strength in supporting people through the most severe stages of illness.

Ariel Schutte
Ariel Schutte
Thriver Coach
"Walking With a Cane to Getting Her Life Back After 20+ Years"

Ariel dealt with ME/CFS for over 20 years. She relied on a cane for mobility and was severely restricted socially. Two decades of illness had convinced her this was just how life would be.

Then she found CFS Recovery. She ditched the cane, started walking stairs independently, went dancing on New Year's, and took an active weekend trip to Canada.

Her experience with long-duration illness gives her a unique ability to help clients who've been sick for years and have started to lose hope that things can change.

Crista Taylor
Crista Taylor
Thriver Coach
"From Active Physical Therapist to Recovering From Long COVID and CFS"

Crista was a physical therapist with a demanding schedule when Long COVID and CFS took her down. For over 2 years, she struggled with brain fog, food intolerances, and the frustration of her medical knowledge not being enough to fix herself.

Through the CFS Recovery system, she made significant progress. She's reading complex books again, overcame gluten intolerance, and her neurological test results normalized.

Her background in physical therapy combined with her own recovery experience gives her a unique perspective on the body-brain connection.

Jon Levene
Jon Levene
Thriver Coach
"From Losing His Active Lifestyle to Paddleboarding, E-Biking, and Traveling Again"

Jon was active, adventurous, and always on the go. ME/CFS stripped all of that away. At 53, he faced the reality that the life he'd built was slipping through his fingers.

Through the CFS Recovery system, Jon rebuilt his capacity step by step. He's back to paddleboarding, e-biking, travel, and handling daily life with energy to spare.

Jon brings a calm, steady presence to his coaching. He's especially effective with clients who are navigating recovery later in life and rebuilding their sense of identity alongside their health.

  • ME/CFS

Focus: Recovery in midlife, rebuilding active lifestyle, identity beyond illness

Olga
Olga
Thriver Coach
"Struggling to Sit Up to Doing Shoulder Stands at 58"

Olga was a yoga teacher and realtor when ME/CFS and dysautonomia made her housebound. At 58, she struggled to even sit up, let alone do the yoga inversions she loved.

Through the CFS Recovery system, Olga rebuilt her capacity dramatically. She's walking, driving, hosting dinner parties, expanding her diet, and yes, doing yoga inversions again.

Olga's warmth and her experience recovering at a later age make her especially effective with clients who worry they're "too old" for recovery.

  • Dysautonomia

Focus: Recovery at any age, rebuilding physical capacity, dysautonomia

The Experience

What Working With a Thriver Coach Looks Like

Live Coaching Calls

Weekly group calls and 1-on-1 sessions. Your coach meets you where you are, even if "where you are" is lying in a dark room.

Real-Time Support

Questions between calls? Your coach is accessible through direct messaging 5 days a week. You're never stuck waiting for your next session.

Personalized Guidance

Your recovery plan isn't a template. Your coach builds it around your symptoms, your capacity, and your pace. It adapts as you progress.

If you're severely affected, unable to attend calls or watch screens for long, that's OK. Your coach will adapt. Short voice notes. Text check-ins. Modified exercises. The program meets you at whatever level you can manage right now.

Ready to Work With Someone
Who Truly Understands?

When you join, you'll be matched with a Thriver Coach based on your condition, your severity, and your goals. You won't have to explain what brain fog feels like. You won't have to justify why you can't "just push through." Your coach already knows. Because they've lived it.
